Editorial Reviews

From the Author

After writing the first novel in the series and becoming very attached to Pink, her friends and the celestial and hellish beings that decide to come for a visit, new adventures kept developing in my head. Here battles, disappointments, lies and a few home truths drive the action.

My name is Olga Núñez Miret and I’m a writer. I have also done translations of my and other authors' work, teach English, volunteer at a local radio station, and I have worked as a psychiatrist.. What else? I was born in Barcelona, Spain, and after living in the UK for over 25 years I decided to go back there searching for inspiration. Over the years I’ve done many things and had other lives but, however far I wander, I keep coming back to books and stories, my two earliest loves. When reading was no longer enough, I started writing. My first book was published in 2012 and my publications span different genres, from literary fiction to romance, Young Adult, psychological thrillers, and non-fiction. I plan on writing more novels in the same genres and if my imagination so dictates, I will explore others. I love to connect with readers, so don’t hesitate to get in touch..

You can also find me in the usual places and I always include links in the books. Don’t forget to check my website/blog. I share reviews of my favourite authors and you will always find some surprises

Me llamo Olga Núñez Miret y soy escritora.

This is the second book in the Angelic Business series and I loved it just as much as the first book. Pink, an ordinary school girl with two great friends and lovely parents, discovered in book 1 that the angels in Heaven and the fallen angels in Hell believe she is the "chosen one". Hell sends G, a fallen angel which an interesting character and who is plagued by doubts about the choices he has made in the past, to develop a relationship with Pink. Naturally, Heaven also wants to get in on the action and they send an angel to keep an eye on both Pink and G.

Book 2 starts off with G being withdrawn from Pink's case and assigned to a new one. I was heartbroken as I love G but I hoped he would be back. Pink gets new demon assigned to her in the form of the fantastically good looking Dash, masquerading at a PE teacher at her school. Everyone in the school, including one of her best friends, Lorna, falls for Dash. That is everyone except Pink who really far prefers G.

Things become rather awkward when Dash starts setting up meetings to talk to Pink on her own and everyone in the school notices and then G starts reappearing for little chats and to give her bits of advice. Why is Pink's other friend, Sylvia, acting in such a strange and secretive way? What happens when Dash discovers G's clandestine visits to visit Pink? Will Pink decide to make an alliance with the gorgeous Dash? To find out you will have to read this fun and quick book.

Having read Ms. Miret’s Book 1 in this series, I knew I was in for a very good read. I was not disappointed! The main protagonist, Pink, is true teenage fare––smart, caring, social media wise, and seemingly normal. On the surface, that is. Beneath lies her supernatural powers and the three ‘advisors’ floating in and out of her life, creating havoc: two handsome, competing-with-each-other demons as well as one gorgeous male angel. We learn about some of the philosophical aspects of Hell vs. Heaven vs. earth, as well as how payback systems don’t just exist in the Mafia. All interesting stuff, indeed, but what ultimately really drew me to this genuinely YA book was Pink and her great gal-pals. All their banter and camaraderie scenes were very authentic and delightful. Definitely recommended.

I received a mobi.file which contained ALL THREE volumes of this Young Adult Paranormal series from the author through a giveaway on Marie Lavender’s FaceBook site and the following is my honest opinion.

While the purist might say this book needs to have some editing done; I found the author, writing in the first person of the book’s protagonist, Petra aka “Pink”, adds a certain charm to both the narrative and dialogue in each of the book’s three segments.

In Volume 1, we’re introduced to “Pink”, as Petra prefers to be called. Pink, who although is not one of the prettiest girl at school, she’s smart and has plenty of resources available to her.

When Seth’s asks for an insincere date with him, while she adores him, Pink and her friends seek some revenge for it.

But things begin to chance when two new and mysterious boys [one of them is called “G” who Pink come to her school, they say they’re angels on a mission and tell Pink she’s very special and the key to the survival of the universe. Naturally, given she knows her place in the hierarchy at her school, she’s quite dubious and skeptical. However, this changes when both Heaven and Hell arrive at her doorstep.

Once you’re drawn into Pink’s personae, you’re drawn into the story itself and are eager to turn the pages to the last page of this segment, and can’t wait to begin reading Volume 2.

In Volume 2, Greg’s assignment has changed, luckily since Pink gad gotten tired of his interference in her life. The tug-of-war between Heaven and Hell continues to increase with Pink playing the part of the rope. Pink learns the price which had been paid for the resurrection of her mother; she’s in mortal danger since Hell is not known for losing graciously. With angel in her life who has his own agenda, and a demon who has no idea of when to give up and surrender. Pink’s life has become more complicated than ever. And with one of friends on a quest to find the perfect man to be in her life, and her other friend in a secretive relationship, Pink’s life can never be the sane.

Volume 3 has an Armageddon is afoot and Pink whether she likes it or not is at the center. Both the envoys of Heaven and Hell are getting closer and closer to Zero Ground and to her home which is something she can no longer sweep under the rug as if it meant nothing. Pink knows she can’t go down without a fight and she has loads of stuff she must do, like helping her family, figuring out who her true friends are. Everything is coming to a head; past romances, loves, etc begin to be fulfilled, there are new challenges which creep up, and emotions are running amok. What the upshot of everything is, I can’t reveal; it’s for you to find out when you read each of the books in this series.

For an interesting and fun reading experience I’ve given each book in this series 5 STARS.

Quite a sweet story with wonderfully light-hearted fun, mainly about a young girl Petra (or rather Pink)and an angel / demon.
The main character is very likeable and has great bite, with appeal to young readers as well as me, a much older one. Pink has a regular teenage life with school and parents but there is some higher and paranormal interest in her. The chemistry between Pink and 'G' comes off very well, too. I really felt for the girl.
She has mixed feelings about 'G' throughout the book but particularly at the beginning of the book. It turns out her mother doesn't know that and invites 'G' to their house for Christmas, which sets off the story over New Years Eve and Valentine's Day. The book is great fun with plenty of plot as 'G's assignement changes.
I really liked the first book in the series and this kept the momentum going nicely. Looking forward to book 3 now.
